Since past few weeks, many devices have been leaked and these devices are expected to be launched at the IFA 2012 show, which will be held at Berlin in Germany. Sony is also gearing up for the release of its Xperia models at this event. A leaked slideshow at the German-based tech site Mobiflip showed off the internal presentation slides of the Xperia branded device. The slideshow revealed a 9.4-inch tablet having a splash-proof aluminium framework, which looks comparatively slimmer than its predecessor, the Sony Tablet S. It is expected that Sony will have the Xperia brand for both its tablet PCs and smartphones.
With the leaked presentation, it is predicted that Sony Xperia’s new tablet will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will sport a display of 9.4-inches with screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It is expected that the tablet will apparently be 42% slim that would make it 8.8mm thin at the wedge section. The device will be powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. The tablet might have a powerful 6000mAh battery, which is expected to deliver 10 hours of web browsing. It will have an 8 megapixel camera at the rear side to take photos and record 1080p HD videos along with a 1 megapixel camera on the front for video chat.
The Xperia tablet will sport a new feature named ‘Guest Mode’ where the users can log into different profiles. The connectivity features include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, HD audio jack and GPS. Accessories like a Docking Stand, a Simple Stand, a Dock Speaker, a Cradle and a thin Keyboard will be available with the tablet. The device will have three storage capacities such as 16GB, 32GB and 64GB along with a microSD slot as well. Pricing details in the slideshow reveals that 16GB version will be available for $449.99; 32GB for $549.99 and 64GB version for $649.99.
