On 22 May, 2012 Samsung unveiled a new high-end LED monitor. It has been named Samsung Series 9 SB970 LED Monitor. The monitor has been aimed at consumers and professionals who want individual calibration for an amazing picture quality. As per the company, the design of the monitor has been inspired from modern architecture featuring a crystal clear glass design with least bezel and height adjustable stand. The Samsung Series 9 SB970 LED was announced at CES earlier this year and now it has been launched only for the Korean market. The 27 inch monitor possesses a Plane Line Switching (PLS) panel that gives a wide viewing angle of up to 178 degrees. The user may get the perfect view from all the angles. It also supports a QHD (Quad High-Definition) resolution up to 2560 × 1440 pixels. The monitor comes with built in speaker (7 watt, 2 channel speaker system) and MHL support. It means that the user may connect, charge and transfer content from mobile to monitor. The accurate color presentation reproduces natural color. With the SB970, Samsung Electronics is planning to strengthen its position as the top global monitor maker in terms of market share. Since the last six years, Samsung has been trying to establish itself as the world’s premium monitor brand. It has released a series of products in US, Korea, Germany and France. The monitor has been announced for a price of 1,390,000 won (approximately 1194 US dollars). Video of Samsung Series 9 SB970 LED Monitor (Wide HD Display) from youtube: |
