Android-based CDMA phone, D530 has been recently announced by Telecom giant Reliance Communications in partnership with Hong Kong-based cell phone maker, Coolpad Overseas. This is first Android-based CDMA phone of Coolpad in India. Reliance Coolpad D530 will be first available in Chennai, and then in the other parts of the country. This device runs on Android 2.1 Eclair and contains 3.5 inch resistive touch screen with a resolution of 480x320 pixels, 2MP camera. The Coolpad D530 is powered by 800 MHz processor. It is also featured with 1280 mAh Li-ion battery that provides four hours of talktime, and 100 hours of standby time. It also contains connectivity options such as WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0. This device comes with 256MB internal memory that can be expanded up to 4GB through microSD. Price of this smartphone will be INR 7,999 and this device will come with RCom's 100 percent value back with discounted tariff over the next 24 months. Reliance Coolpad D530 will come with RCom's 3G data plans that assure its speed will be up to 3.1 Mbps. As per RCom, this handset will come soon with other products from the Coolpad collection, and it is expected that an Android CDMA/ EVDO tablet is being prepared by Coolpad. This tablet will be available in around November in the Indian market at price lower than Rs. 10000. |
