PENTAX launched upgraded K-5 II & K-5 IIs DSLR Cameras

Pentax has recently announced two new DSLRs, the K-5 II and the K-5 IIs, successors of its flagship K-5 DSLR camera. The K-5 II and the K-5 IIs - both cameras will be dustproof, cold-resistant and weather-resistant cameras. These both cameras will have almost same features such as Pentax’s PRIME II imagine engine, a 16.28-megapixel sensor, as well as a 3-inch 921k dot LCD preview screen with anti-glare finish and toughened glass cover. These both cameras will contain a recently developed SAFOX X AF sensor that provides the extensive auto focusing EV range (-3 EV to +18 EV) in its category.

Both cameras will provide high-class photo reproduction; particularly in low light conditions because of their compact solid body. Photographers will be allowed to work with a luminous flux on the basis of F2.8 levels as well F5.6 that raises the AF accuracy when utilizing fast lenses by these cameras’ new, highly sensitive AF sensor. An upgraded AF algorithm with the Select-Area Expansion feature will be included in the AF sensor to mechanically track the subject when it moves away from a pre-assigned selection position, by assessing information from adjacent sensors. The body of these cameras is built up of magnesium alloy and stainless steel. These devices will have a battery that allows users to capture up to 980 shots on a single charge.

A custom shake-reduction mechanism is also included in both cameras to move the CMOS through three shutter steps to avoid smudge, and 7 frames per second burst shooting for up to 30 shots. PENTAX K-5 IIs is ideal for landscape-style shorts as well as commercial and studio photography, where lens selection, camera settings, lighting and other shooting circumstances are controlled because an anti-aliasing filter will be not included in this camera. It is expected that Pentax K-5 II and the K-5 IIs will be available in October. Pentax K-5 II will be priced at $1,199.95 body-only, or $1,349.95 with the DA 18-55mm WR zoom, or finally $1,549.95 with the DA 18-135mm WR zoom. The K-5 IIs will be priced at $1,299.95 body-only.
