It was November, 2011, when Nokia announced its plans for a Windows 8 tablet which planned to arrive in June, 2012. But now, there are rumors that Nokia and Microsoft will be come together to launch the first tablet with the new Microsoft Windows 8 platform. This tablet is supposed to have a 10 inch screen and may run on Qualcomm dual core processor. The tablet will be outsourced by Nokia to the Taiwanese ODM Compal Electronics. It is expected that, Compal Electronics may produce around 200,000 units of the tablet in the first batch. The tab will be equipped with a Snapdragon S4 Krait chip. The processor will be ARM based and therefore new tablet may be the first ever tablet to use the Windows operating system with an ARM processor. The screen of the gadget may have a high resolution of around 1,920×1,200 pixels. This Windows 8 tab may launch in the 4th quarter of 2012. DigiTimes is the source behind all this information.
