Samsung is coming in the market with devices in every possible segment and it appears that Indian handset maker Micromax is following its way. Nowadays, Micromax is expecting to launch Android smartphones with dual SIM support, huge batteries and remarkable specifications in the price range of Rs. 10,000. The launch of Android phone called A100 in the Indian market has been announced by the company. The A100 Android phone has been spotted on the online shopping site, HomeShop18 but it is not available for buying. The A100, dual-SIM smartphone will be priced at Rs. 9,999.
The A100 Android phone will feature a 5-inch screen with resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. This device will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System. This handset will have a 5 megapixel camera with flash. This dual SIM smart phone will support GSM + GSM connectivity and comes with 4GB of internal storage capacity that can be expanded up to 32GB with MicroSD card slot. This phone will contain 2,000 mAh Li-Ion Battery that delivers talktime of up to 5 hours, and standby time up to 180 hours. Dimension of this device is 142.2 x 72.6 x 11.9 mm, and its weight is 168 grams.
The A100 will also include YouTube, social networking, WAP, GPRS, EDGE, GPS and 3.5mm jack. This phone will be featured with 3G, Bluetooth (A2DP), FM radio and WiFi. The information about its processor, RAM and GPU are not available yet. It is expected that A100 Android phone will give tough competition to Spice's 5-inch Mi500 Stellar Horizon that was unveiled a long time back, but not available in stores yet. It is estimated that this device will be available in the market at the end of this month.
