Kobian, a computer peripherals and tablets manufacturer has launched the Mercury 3G Mobile Router. This router provides Wi-Fi connectivity up to 6 devices at a time, with the push of a button hence helping them to browse, chat, surf and stay connected. The device comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which offers a usage time of around 5 hours. It can also work with devices that do not have USB ports.
The card size router is pretty light and can be carried anywhere, in the pocket for instant connectivity. The 3G Mobile Router can easily be switched between the router and modem mode with just a flick of a switch. In the router mode, the dongle turns into a 'Hot-Spot' and works as a router providing Internet access to 6 different devices. In the modem mode, it acts as a dongle and provides internet connectivity to the host via USB.
The Li-ion battery makes it host independent and provides a power backup of 5 hours to enjoy continuous work or entertainment. It supports all GSM providers and offers a broadband speed of up to 7.2 Mbps.
