Apple is reportedly working on a new line of the iPhone with the aim of slowing the move forward of competing handsets based on Google's Android software. According to the Bloomberg reports, iPhone model of Apple would be cheaper and smaller than the most recent iPhone. The new model will be one-third smaller than current models. According to some sources, this new iPhone will be easily used on multiple wireless networks due to a technology being developed by Apple. Image source: iphonehacks.com Apple also seems to decrease the price and customer commitment with the size of iPhone. As per Bloomberg, Apple would like to sell the new iPhone for $200 devoid of signing a contract. Usually, wireless carriers require a two-year or sometimes a three-year contract signed by customers in order to get a discount on a phone. Apple has intended to reveal the iPhone by mid-year; the introduction may be belated or scrapped, as per a person. Few Apple employees know the details of the project and Apple frequently works on products that do not get released. As per the Bloomberg report, Apple is also working on a dual-mode iPhone that would work on both GSM and CDMA networks. A universal SIM card might be got by the iPhone that users would put together through iTunes to work with any carrier they want. The idea of the iPhone containing dual-mode wireless technology or a universal SIM is not unbelievable; a smaller and likely smaller-screened iPhone is out of the question that is supposed by many people because it (probably) would not be well-matched with existing apps in the App Store. |
