Amazon Android tablet coming soon

Rumors have been flying that Amazon is going to launch Android based tablet device by October. Amazon will be the top competitor for Apple’ iPad by launching this new tablet device. Amazon has put a sales target of 4 million for its new Android -tablets in 2011. To achieve this target Amazon is focusing on the content, price, and commerce. The other competitors of Amazon will be HTC, Motorola, and Samsung.

This Android tablet has 7-inch screen display, E-books, digital music system and gives users access to Amazon’s extensive collection of media. It is powered by Google’s Android 3.1 OS. Amazon could create Linux or Android based tablet to provide easy access to Amazon’s storefront and other features such as Amazon Prime service and one-click purchasing. The design and manufacturing of the tablet would be outsourced. Amazon would be launch two tablets: budget version and touch based version. It will be priced around $300 or less. The new tablet called “Amazon kindle” has a 6GB of storage capacity, Wi-Fi, and Amazon Appstore.
