ACi Icon 1100: Specs, Features and Price of super-affordable Laptop in India

ACi (Allied Computers International), a U.K. based laptop specialist brand has unveiled the lowest-priced laptop for the Indian market. It is a fully-functional laptop computer with a 10.2 inch high resolution display. The device has been priced at just Rs. 4, 999. It measures 11 x 7.25 x 1 inches and weighs in at 0.7 kgs.

This laptop is Windows compatible and has 512MB of RAM (1GB optional). With 4 GB of internal storage the memory is expandable up to 32GB. The Icon 1100 comes with a 10/100 Ethernet adapter, MMC/SD push card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi, and 3G support via USB dongle. It will be shipped with 12 months of replacement warranty. This low-priced laptop is among a range of 7 products that unveiled by the company on June 27, 2012. The other products are also mid-to-high-end laptops.

The company is expecting to sell 2 lakh units of the ACi Icon 1100 in a year. ACi is also planning to launch the ‘model B’ of the base model ACi Icon in the Indian markets, in the next 2 or 3 months. The company already has 200 dealerships in India and it wants to add around 500 more dealerships for the next two months. In India, ACi is represented by Allied Computers International (Asia) Ltd., which will sell the products here. The company is also listed on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange).
