9-inch Amazon Kindle Fire tablet coming this year

Chad Bartley, an analyst from Pacific Crest has predicted that by the middle of this year Amazon may launch a 9-inch Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, in addition to a refreshed 7-inch model. He has also predicted that Amazon is supposed to sell about 14.9 million Kindle Fire units in the year 2012, and this figure is higher from his last prediction in which he predicted 12.7 million units.

We can only guess how the 9-inch Kindle Fire tablet will be marketed and what kind of hardware and software it will possess. There are rumors that it will compete with the Apple’s upcoming iPad. As far as the 7-inch Kindle Fire successor is concerned, some software and hardware improvements may combine with a convincing price tag to make the device a success.

The price of the tablet is not revealed yet. Rumors are also there that the 9 inch model may cost about $250. The new Kindle Fire may enter the US market in the coming months, whereas the Atlantic people may have to wait for the release of the tablet.
