Electronic Data Interchange Introduction

Electronic data interchange is the electronic transmission of the data, without any human intercession between the organizations. The two organizations which are transmitting the information between each other are called as the trading partners. The sharing of the information between the two entities can either be internal (within the organization) or external (between two different organizations). The EDI software constitutes the whole process of sharing the electronic information including transmission, document layout, information flow and software used to analyze the message.
