The Mercedes-Benz F125 concept unveiled one of those vehicles that give auto salons a reason for being. The gullwing coupe concept is apparently intended to provide a hint of what a hydrogen-powered sports coupe might look like. There is sufficient power to propel the F125! from zero to 60 in 4.8 seconds, with top speed capped at 137 mph. The F125’s body is 197 inches long, 78 inches wide and only 56 inches high. More stunningly, it opens via two giant gullwing doors. The interior seats only four. The F125’s proportions suggest rear-drive, but the concept has an electric motor at each wheel comprising what Mercedes calls its e4MATIC system. The F125! features Advanced Driving Assist, a semi-autonomous driving system that is capable of executing lane changes on multilane one-way roads, as well as automatic overtaking maneuvers. |
