An automobile manufacturer, Bugatti has launched its newest costlier and mid-engine grand touring car, Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 in India. It is world’s top speed street-legal production car which hits 431.072 km per hour. Bugatti Veyron Wiki: The German Volkswagen Group and its subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS engineered and developed the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 car. Its initial production arrived in September 2005. Hartmut Warkuss is chief designer of Veyron and Jozef Kabaň designed exterior parts of the Veyron. Most of the designed work was being under direction of Wolfgang Schreiber, former Peterbilt engineer and now Bugatti Engineering chief. The car is traded under the famous Bugatti marquee. The car was named on the name of the racing driver Pierre Veyron who became winner of 24 hours of Le Mans of 1939’s original Bugatti firm race. With the latest Bugatti Veyron Super Sport prototype, one more time Bugatti achieved land speed record for creating cars on July 4, 2010. When Pierre Henri Raphanel, a Bugatti test driver drove a car, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport ran of 265.9 and 269.8 mph an average terminal speed of 267.81 mph at Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessien track. Bugatti Veyron is totally different car in category of super sports. The car has 736 KW (1001 hp) at 6000 U/min power output and 1250 Newton meters at 2200–5500 U/min maximum torque. The price of Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport starts at Rs 16 crore, now the car hit the Indian roads. It emerges with new alteration, newly intended safety features. Its body is prepared from carbon fiber. Additionally, there is a carbon plate set up below the transmission. The best feature of the car is an open top that can be opened or closed within few seconds. It presents a large luggage space when it is in closed position. The suspension system of the Veyron includes shock absorbers that allow the cars height to be higher or lower which depend upon the road conditions. The car has alloy wheels that comprise specially designed tires as well as disc brakes equipped wheels. The company has targeted to trade 60 and 80 units of the car across the world in this year. The delivery of the car would take about 6-8 months from the date of order. Bugatti Automobiles Sales Market Manager Guy Caquelin said to reporters, “Bugatti has been doing well in America, Europe and the Middle East. Now we see India as an emerging market for us, hence we have decided to bring the car to India". “The price of the car will be subject to foreign exchange fluctuation and the levels of customisation that a buyer demands,” said Satya Bagla, Exclusive Motors Managing Director. Satya Bagla added, “The Bugatti Veyron is four times more expensive than what’s being sold in the India.
