2013 Dodge Dart Hatchback Patent leaked

Leaks and rumors regarding each and every upcoming gadget have been a significant part of this technology era. Every day begins with the leak of new rumors and speculations. Recently, one more uncertain speculation about a Dodge Dart hatchback has been surfaced. The patent drawings of Dodge Dart five-door hatchback version have been revealed by an Italian forum. These patent drawings apparently give an idea what could be a hatchback model of the Chrysler’s high mpg Dodge Dart.

This Dart hatchback model has not been confirmed by Chrysler, so the revealed patent drawings cannot yet be convinced as official. There are two reasons due to which the patent drawings of Dart hatchback cannot be entirely convinced as official. Firstly, Fiat platform has already underpinned the development of a five-door model of the China market Viaggio, which is an Italian cousin to the American compact Dart sedan. And, not to forget that Chrysler hasn’t mentioned such a body style yet.

Secondly, albeit Chrysler is developing a hatchback Dart, it cannot be expected like the car drawn in patent drawings because it resembles the current Dart version very closely. Apart from a slightly shorter rear overhang, an entire notchback shape of hatchback Dart shown in patent drawings seems very close to the current version. And this can make the hatchback Dart in a competition with cars like the Ford Focus hatchback. We are not saying that these filings are forged, but for more accurate information you should wait until official reveal.
