The fiery car crash that killed Kandice Hutchison from “A Double Shot at Love” was allegedly caused by street racing — and Kandice was one of two cars involved in the deadly race.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President-elect Barack Obama has chosen retired Gen. Eric K. Shinseki to be the next Veterans Affairs secretary, turning to a former Army chief of staff once vilified by the Bush administration for questioning its Iraq war strategy.

 America will have its first Vietnamese American in Congress. 

Yesterday, Louisiana voted for Republican Anh “Joseph” Cao to represent them in Congress and ousted alleged criminal Dem. Rep. William J. Jefferson.

Forty-one year old Joseph Cao is an attorney who came to America in 1975 after the fall of Saigon.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) - A leader of the Sons of Iraq anti-al Qaeda group was killed Saturday when a bomb attached to his vehicle exploded, an Iraqi Interior Ministry official told CNN.

The explosion occurred in southern Baghdad’s Dora district. Two civilians were wounded, the official said.

 After twenty-eight of being in a coma, Martha “Sunny” Von Bulow died today at a nursing home in NY City.

 Actress Beverly Garland, who played the mother in “My Three Sons”, passed away at her home in Hollywood the age of 82.

Garland also appeared in other television roles such as, “The Bing Crosby Show”, “Remington Steele”, Scarecrow and Mrs. King”, “Lois and Clark” and “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman”.
