The heroic rematch between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings has lived up to the hype, luxuriant us to a Game 7 Friday night. "Pittsburgh will need to get big games from their stars Malkin and Crosby to have any hope of winning this game." The Pittsburgh Penguins won the 2008-2009 Stanley Cup with a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in final Game 7.

Luke Ravenstahl the Mayor of Pittsburgh who was hoping for the Penguins to lose said, “The Steelers’ championship parade cost us roughly $6.5 million in street closures, security expenditures; float rental and sanitation overtime—not to mention the incalculable loss of man-hours for our struggling local businesses.”

This has been a good year for Pittsburgh sports fans. The Pittsburgh Steelers won in February their 2nd Super Bowl in 4 years. Now After 4 months, Pittsburgh will throw parade for the Penguins. The Penguins will be only the 3rd road team in the last 15 game 7 to win in enemy territory.
