WWE Draft - Not Always A Game Changer

The WWE Draft has become a big event for WWE and pro wrestling fans. The pre-draft chat usually starts a few months out as WWE fans try and predict what this year’s big WWE move will be. There have been plenty of exciting WWE Draft moments but don’t get too excited. The WWE Draft isn’t always the game changer fans hope that it will be.


The WWE Draft format has changed several times over the years since its inaugural WWE Draft in 2002. The first WWE draft was conducted under traditional sports draft rules where owners of each WWE brand picked their favorite superstar to draft to WWE RAW or SmackDown. The format has changed to become more random where a digital interface will pick a random WWE superstar and he or she will be drafted to their new brand.
