
Three-time British Open winner Tiger Woods says he plans to play in the tournament this year at St. Andrews in Scotland. Woods has been sidelined recently with an inflamed joint in his neck. The world's No. 1 golfer said on his Web site he'll play in the July British Open, which he won in 2000 and 2005 at the St. Andrews Old Course and 2006 at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in England. Woods's upcoming PGA Tour schedule is uncertain. Other tournaments he is committed to play in prior to the British Open are the U.S. |
