Tiger Woods will return to competition to defend his title at next week's Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio, according to the Golf Channel late Monday night. Woods, who returned from his well-documented hiatus with a T4 at the Masters in April, was forced to withdraw on May 9 from his last outing at the Players Championship due to what later was deemed a neck injury. Prior to the Players, Woods missed the cut at the Quail Hollow Championship. The Golf Channel also reported that Woods will take part in a nine-hole skins match next Wednesday, an event in which Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker, Rory McIlroy, Kenny Perry, Sean O'Hair, Zach Johnson and tournament host Jack Nicklaus also will participate. |
