Sean Justin Penn is an American film actor. He is also a filmmaker, political activist and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his role in Mystic River and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor and Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Milk.
Penn's wonderful acceptance speech should have made up for any complaints. Since Penn won for his portrayal as Harvey Milk in Gus Van Sant's Milk, his speech reflected the recent Proposition 8 issue in California and presented very little good merry (gay and non-gay) comedy. Penn also thanked all the other related to film, but made it very admirable.
