The Parade Route of Pittsburgh PenguinsThe Pittsburgh Penguins has won the final NHL Hockey Stanley Cup 2009 on June 12th, 2009 at Joe Louis. A spokeswoman Joanna Doven told that the Pittsburg officials were discussing about the plans for a parade honoring the Stanley Cup Champion on Saturday. The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Detroit Red wings by 2-1 in Detroit. This is the first Stanley Cup for Pittsburgh since 17 long years; therefore a massive victory parade is planned. Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Allegheny County announced that a victory parade will begin on Monday noon at the meeting point of Grant Street and Seventh Avenue, Downtown. The parade will follow the same route as the last February's Super Bowl parade. From the intersection point, the parade will proceed to the Boulevard of the Allies and at Stanwix Street where a stage celebration will be held. A reviewing stand will set up along the parade route to protect the fans and players. City officials encouraged all fans to walk in the parade. Mr. Ravenstahl told that On Monday, let's show the world how the 'City of Champions' welcomes home their Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins. He also told that our team has achieved a great victory in the history and no one believed that the youngest captain named Sidney Crosby of the team would make it possible to win. Mr. Onarato told that Monday’s parade will be a great opportunity to give tribute and celebrate this amazing Penguins team for bringing the Stanley Cup back home for their region. There's only one legitimate place I've found to watch the parade live, the rest seem like scams :-/ You can see it over here though: http://vostuu.com/watch28015.html
They make you do a little survey but after that it's good to go :)
