Let me gloat. Ha… ha… ha. I could see Jim Lampley’s head buried in his pillow early Sunday morning crying himself to sleep after Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao became a select few of all time boxers to win a title in seven different weight classes. That’s right. Mayweather hasn’t done that. Did I mention that fight has to happen? It was Pacquiao – Cotto, Cotto, at natural weight, a 147 pound boxer taking on a guy who started his career at 107 pounds. Pacquiao has now won titles from Flyweight to Welterweight, and in his last five fights he has beaten Marquez, David Diaz, De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto, stopping four of the five. |
