The reason these 25 year movies are being remade is mainly because the original are pretty much silly. You may have loved them back in the good ol days but watch them today and their pretty boring (They still remain horror classic;s in my book). Just yesterday I was watching Friday the 13th (1980) and I was falling asleep on it. Over dramatic terrible acting and cheap FX. With a re-imagination of the franchise these movies can be reborn!!
Also, there was rumors about Billy Bob Thorton (Click here to view) to play the role as Freddy, hope its still true. He would make a great Freddy if the producers want a fresh new face or if Robert Englund isnt coming back.
