Michael Phelps to publicize Mazda In China:-

Michael Phelps ,a U.S. swimmer, who won a record eight gold medals at the summer games in Beijing, has signed a seven-figure deal to endorse the new Mazda 6 model in a series of ad campaigns and personal appearances.

This is the largest single sponsorship for a Western celebrity in Chinese history.

Phelps said:"The people of China have been very supportive of me and my efforts to help promote swimming and i am excited to begin 2009 with my first return trip to Beijing since the Games."

It is also the point of attraction that Mazda Motor Corp. is Japan's fifth-largest carmaker.Upto the first 10 months of last year,The company sold an estimated 105,000 cars in China,which is very low as compared to their expectations.This decrease is because of lack of demand.Company plans to sell 300,000 cars there in 2010.So now The company is hoping Phelps will increase sales in China.
