Juan Martin del Potro, the Argentine who out-hit Rafael Nadal and then Roger Federer to win the US Open last season, could miss the three remaining grand slams this season. Del Potro disclosed that he will not defend his title in New York as he will still be recuperating after an operation to his wrist. He had already let it be known that he would not be playing at Roland Garros or at Wimbledon, but the indications now are that we could have seen the last of him in the 2010 season. "If all goes well, I'll return after the US Open," he said. |
