The Dark Knight Dominates Sales

With only three days on the market, The Dark Knight broke the blu-ray record with 600,000 Blu-ray Discs in the on its first day of rele

;We think we will hit 1 million this weekend, said WHV president Ron Sanders. ;Whats really encouraging about it is that the Blu-ray version did exceptionally well across the board. It wasnt just selling in Best Buy or Wal-Mart, but also it did well in grocery and game stores. It was surprising to us just how well it did.

Thats some pretty great news, but Im pretty sure everyone knew that it was going to make record sales. They say that they will hit 1 million over the week-end, theres no doubt they will. I;m guessing by tuesday, 1.2-1.3 Million copies of blu-ray will be sold. DVDs also did well with over 3 million copies sold on the first day.
