"Before this, there were no five-star hotels for dogs in the world," said Sabine Gerteis, one of the owners. The Canis Resort offers nine 45-square-meter lodges that can accommodate up to five dogs each. The pets will be able to walk outside and owners will be able to watch them on live webcams.

A 350-square-meter play area and a 24-hour reception will be provided, as well as grooming, training and massage services by trained dog handlers. The price for a suite depends on the dog's breed, the hotel said but the cost of basic services is the same for all dogs.
