Once again, the golf world will be focused this week on historic and legendary Augusta National Golf Club for the 74th edition of The Masters, the first major of the season. This will be my 22nd year associated with the tournament and my fifth year working as a gallery guard on the long and difficult 240-yard par 3 No. 4. If you are interested in attending next year's practice rounds, which are Monday through Wednesday, you can do so by writing: The Masters Tournament Practice Round Tickets, P.O. Box 2047, Augusta, GA 30903. Tickets are awarded on a lottery basis. Yes, it does work, but you have to be patient. Several residents have stopped by to visit me and said they have received their tickets in that manner. So, if you have not been successful in the past, keep trying. Note that tickets for all four rounds are sold out and have been for many years. |
