I brought in Lingerie Football League star Marie Nicole from the New York Majesty and well, if she's a wide receiver, then "The Shark" was truly a "shut-down corner" this week. Marie had a very long week, going 0-4 against the spread.

QB: Matt Hasselbeck

In the two full games Hasselbeck has played this season he had passed for 7 seven touchdowns and averaged over 250 yards passing. Granted they have been against the Rams and Jaguars but he has shown he can still play. With a nice schedule coming up that includes the Cardinals (twice), Lions, and Cowboys, Hasselbeck is set up for a nice run over the next few weeks.

Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys - Philly fans may have felt ill effects of losing the World Series, but now the time has come to quickly shift the attention back to football. The Philadelphia Eagles have a big time showdown this week against the arch rival Dallas Cowboys at home this week.

Last week, it was an NFC North rivalry that stole the show. This week’s marquee game features an NFC East rivalry. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys play the Sunday Night Game in a battle for NFC East supremacy.

Brett Favre returns to Lambeau Field: Does this really come as a shock? The four letter network reminded us time and time again that Brett Favre was returning to Green Bay, FOX reminded us DURING the World Series that Favre was returning to Green Bay AND if Favre had a twitter page I’m sure he’d remind us to.

Dean’s List - Indianapolis Colts. The Colts remain on the Dean’s List for the second report card of the NFL 2009 season. The Colts are now the lone unbeaten in the AFC. Peyton Manning and crew have had some scares and it hasn’t been easy in some cases.

Dean’s List - The New Orleans Saints. This may be the kiss of death, because I put the New York Giants on the Dean’s List in the first-quarter report, and they have collapsed since. The New Orleans Saints are a truly special team. They are getting it done in all phases of the game.

Week 8 NFL Fantasy Football Studs + Duds

Maurice Jones Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars: For the second straight week, Mighty Mouse tops my list on the Studs category. He rushed for 177 yards against the struggling Titans defense but the most impressive stat is that he did this all on 8 carries.

Week 9: NFL Waiver Wire Pickups : Fantasy Football

Jamaal Charles Kansas City Chiefs - The Ryan Moats hype may be the best thing this week for those of you that waited on Jamaal Charles. I picked up Charles last week as soon as Larry Johnson was sent home knowing that he’d be available since he was on a bye week.

Steve Slaton may be the most frustrating player for fantasy football owners this season. After a disappointing start, Slaton has been on fire. Slaton’s propensity to fumble kept him out of some key goal-line situations. Unfortunately, Slaton’s latest fumble kept him off of the field entirely, putting Slaton owners in a panic.

If you have Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or Phillip Rivers, congratulations you are going to get at least 20 points from them. Even if their teams go up by more than 4 touchdowns and you think that the coach might take out the QB, don't worry because they will most likely have those 4 touchdowns.

Sleeper of the Week: Ryan Grant RB GB – He is running against one of the worst run defenses in the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are giving up over 160 rushing yards a game. Grant seems to be on the verge of a break-out performance, but just one good run short of achieving it. Also working in his favor is that the Packers offense is heating up.
