Steve Sarkisian New Head Coach of Washington University

USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian gets Washington job mean added in Washington's coach list. Steve Sarkisian is ready for Washington head coaching position.

USC offensive coordinator Steve SarkisianUSC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian was named head coach at the University of Washington.

Sarkisian's Coaching career began in 2000 when he returned to El Camino Junior College as a Quarter Back Coach.

Sarkisian worked first as an assistant opensiba (2001), and then, as a Quarter Back Coach (2002 and 2003). He is partly responsible for the success of the happy by Trojan QBs Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart (both built in the Heisman trophy winners).

Sarkisian flew to Seattle and meet with officials in Washington and returned thanks to USC on Friday, according to sources.

Texas Tech coach Mike Leach, Fresno State coach Pat Hill and Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly also interviewee for the job. Washington also pursued Seattle Seahawk coach-in-waiting Jim Mora.
