Northampton knock Liverpool out of Carling Cup

In pouring rain on Merseyside, Northampton played heroically in their efforts to hold onto the lead Michael Jacobs gave them in the first half of extra time, with Liverpool needing a late header from David Ngog to take the match to penalties.
