The noisiest No. 6 seed in all of pro football history, a team that the coach sometimes discusses as if it is Tom Brady's Patriots or even Joe Montana's 49ers, is now asked to do more than talk a good game against Peyton Manning's Colts. You can't talk this much and not even get out of the first round. This time Rex really does need to put up or shut up. It is why this is a first-round game that feels like so much more to the Jets, because of all the talking Ryan and his players have done since last year, when they fell into the playoffs like a drunk falling into bed. The Jets better win this game. If they don't, how does anybody take any of their big talk seriously ever again? |
