The Chileans became the first South American team to be eliminated. Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay already have reached the final eight, while Paraguay meets Japan Tuesday. Brazil advanced to a Friday showdown with the Netherlands, which won for the fourth time in as many games by dismissing Slovakia, 2-1. |
