Fulham striker Bobby Zamora praises team's "character" despite extra-time defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Europa League final. Dickson Etuhu articulated the harsh reality of Fulham’s Europa League final defeat on Wednesday night. “The difference,” the midfielder said, “was that they had world-class strikers.” Those strikers – the much-coveted, elusive Sergio Aguero and Diego Forlan, who scored both goals - were decisive as Atletico Madrid won the inaugural Europa League. “It’s been like a dream for me and the rest of the players,” Etuhu added, but for that dream to continue Fulham had needed a fully-fit Bobby Zamora. |
