Champions League Twenty20 Team Venue Announced

The six-million-dollar event, the Champions League Twenty20 scheduled will be held in Indian cities of Bangalore, Hyderabad and New Delhi from October 8 to 23, 2009. Twenty20 Champions League is the platform for the best teams in the world to compete for a USD $6m. Prize.

The twelve teams like, the top two domestic T20 teams from South Africa, Domestic T20 Champions from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Three teams from India ( IPL season 2 champions Deccan Chargers, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Daredevils), West Indies, England and Australia. The 12 teams will be divided into four groups with the top two from each group advancing to the second round, where eight teams will be further split in two groups.

The other domestic finalists and winners group include, Victoria and New South Wales from (Australia), Otago Volts from (New Zealand), Cape Cobras and Diamond Eagles from (South Africa), Wayamba from (Sri Lanka), and Trinidad and Tobago from (West Indies). There will be 23 matches spread over 16 days.

The opening of Twenty20 Champions League will be held in Bangalore on October 8, Hyderabad will host the final on October 22 and 23 while Delhi will host the first semi-final on October 21, and the draw and matches schedule will be announced on 6th August by the Champions League T20 council board. England’s Twenty20 Cup finalists will be decided on August 25, 2009.
