The ICC has released the schedule for the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup to be held in September of this year and going to start on 5 June, 2009. T20 World Cup 2009 is going to take place in England. There will be in total 12 matches played among Super 8 teams.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2009 will be start on June 5, 2009, and the schedule has been announced. The first match will be played between England v Netherlands in UK. The 12 teams are divided into four groups, with India in "Group A" with Bangladesh and Ireland. The top six teams will move to the second stage of the tournament, after which the top four teams will play the semi-finals.
