Three South Asian Test cricket playing countries; India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will jointly host ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The world cup will be taken place in February 2011 to March 2011. The world cup will be held with fourteen scheduled national cricket teams. The first match will be played on 19 February 2011.

Tournament director Ratnakar Shetty told that: "They had a good, productive meeting. There was recognition that there is much hard work to be done but they are confident and they are now well on the way, with operational plans in place to become effective from the start of August” and added "Moving forward, the COC will meet on a regular basis with everyone committed to a successful event, something they are confident they can achieve. The recommendations of the committee will now go to the ICC board”
