England blast out 10 wickets in session again to clinch win

For England this was a job emphatically done. For Bangladesh this was an embarrassment that undid much of their good work at Lord’s and on the first day here.

To lose 10 wickets in a session once, as Bangladesh did on Saturday after they had cruised to 126 without loss, could be considered unfortunate. To then lose all 10 in a session again when they followed on was not so much carelessness
as incompetence.

Not since India were bowled out for 58 and 82 here at Old Trafford in 1952 have a side been dismissed twice in two Test sessions. Not only did that give England victory by an innings and 80 runs in this second npower Test but it handed Bangladesh the worst possible finale to what could be their last Test tour to England.
