Listening to Ivan Nova talk about pitching in the heat of a pennant race, you'd think he was still playing in the minors. The rookie delivered another solid performance in his second big-league start, leading the Yankees to a 2-1 victory Sunday and a series win over the White Sox. "No pressure; I'm just having fun," Nova said. "If you put in your mind it's like a Triple-A game, you can just keep pitching your game and everything is going to be fine." This is far from Triple-A, of course, as the Yankees are locked in a heated race with the Rays and Red Sox for both the AL East title and wild card. |
