Hailed by Sports Illustrated as "Baseball's LeBron," 17-year-old catching phenom Bryce Harper has been the presumptive No. 1 pick in this year's draft almost since the moment his parents took him out of high school and he got his GED so he could enroll at the College of Southern Nevada and become draft-eligible a year early. Because of that status, there's been plenty of ink spilled on Harper already, even though he's not a slam dunk as the top pick and he's hardly the draft prospect Stephen Strasburg was last season. Lately, not all of it has been positive, with a Baseball Prospectus report last week tearing deep into his "makeup." |
