2009 Womad Festival at Charlton Park
Hi friends, do you know that what is a Womad festival? This is the festival of World of Music, Arts and Dance and it was set up in 1982 by Genesis' lead singer Peter Gabriel. This year the festival has been started on 24th July 2009 and will run till 26th July 2009 at Charlton Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The Event brings together many forms of the arts from different countries and cultures from over the globe. WOMAD has around 20 festivals worldwide and it allows audiences to gain an insight into other cultures through the enjoyment of music.The event has a family safe atmosphere with a range of music including jazz, funk and reggae, ambient and hip hop. In this festival each and every musical experience is presented by main stage and high profile, to intimate and troubadour acoustic. The line up is predominantly World Music, but Blues, Jazz, Hip hop and Rock artists also appear. Date : 24th July to 26th July.
