Chelsea Flower Show is set for a "vintage year" despite fears about the weather. Earlier on in the season gardeners were frantically transferring flowers into greenhouses and putting down fleece to protect precious plants from the frost. There were fears the biggest horticultural event of the year would not be as colourful as usual after the coldest winter in 31 years. But as exhibitors build their gardens in the London showground there is a sense that in fact this year's display could be more spectacular than ever. |
