Where to stay: Andaz in West Hollywood is a chic, recently renovated hotel that was formerly the Hyatt, playfully known as the Riot House thanks to a guest list of rock star legends including Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Guns N' Roses. The rooftop pool (shown above) has some of the best views in the city. Be sure to grab a cocktail there before heading to dinner: It's the most exclusive scene in town, and open only to hotel guests. The West Hollywood location, about halfway between Hollywood and Santa Monica, makes it easy to get around town and is prime for shopping.
