A. Once you become engaged, choosing a wedding date is a personal decision between you and your fiancé. Most couples pick a date that's more or less one year away. If you feel like you'll need more time to plan or want to save up some extra money, then take your time. There's no rule that says you have to get married within a certain time after becoming engaged.
