Celeb Style: Oscars 2010 Hair Trends and Tips

Not only were the gowns purely amazing on the celebs last night, the hair truly made these ladies shine. Lots of popular looks seen at the Oscars this year and with the help of Gatsby Salon in New Jersey,here are some hair tips on how to get their look.

The Look: Voluminous Up’ Do

Celebs like Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart, and Vera Farmiga wore this look.

“Volume gave a new twist to the traditional up’do”,” says Gatsby Salon stylist Denise Gunnello.

To get the look:

1. Start with using a volumizer on damp hair’s roots. (Try Gatsby Salon’s Texture Lift, $12.50)

2. Blowdry hair using your fingers to create volume and texture within your hair.

3. Once hair is completely dry, tease hair from temple to temple, beginning along the hairline.

4. Smooth out slightly with fingers to give it an “unpolished look”.

5. Use your fingers to direction hair towards the back of your head.
