Retail stores: Open on Christmas Eve, some with extended hours; closed Christmas Day. MBTA: Christmas Eve: All services on regular weekday schedule, except for Commuter Boat service – some final departure times will be earlier. For more information, call (617) 222-3200. Christmas Day: Subways, buses, and trackless trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule. Commuter rail trains will operate on a Sunday schedule, but the Fairmount, Needham, and Stoughton Lines will not operate. All Inner Harbor ferry and commuter boat services will not operate. THE RIDE will operate as needed. For more information, call (617) 222-3200. Liquor stores: Open on Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day. Supermarkets: Open on Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day.
