Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited are likely to launch a new iconic sports tourer model Honda VFR1200F. The announcement brings happy news for sports enthusiasts in India. Honda VFR1200F will be imported as a Completely Built Unit and it will attract a 110 percent duty. Speaking on the launch, company sources said "Honda's Indian arm will be launching the Honda VFR1200F in a CBU format and it will be pricier than its existing imported bikes like Fireblade, etc". Honda VFR1200F was introduced as a concept model in 2008, at the Intermot Show. The production ready model was revealed at the Tokyo Auto Show last year as a V4 sports touring model. Honda VFR1200F is currently being manufactured in Japan. The first batch of Honda VFR1200F will be ready in 2010.
