PlayStation Network is down today due to Maintenance

Due to ‘Essential Network Maintenance’, Playstation network is down today. It is down from 8am to 5pm Pacific time. Sony has declared this through an article on the Playstation website. During the maintenance, the users cannot able to sign in PlayStation Network through eu.playstation.com. The users can continue online gaming if they sign in to the service before 8am and if they sign in after 8am they will be moved to the maintenance notification page. During the maintenance the users are also not able to access PlayStation store on PS3 and PSP, password reset process as well as registration and account management.

However the users can play online and sign in to external sites which need PSN authentication. The users can assemble in-game trophies and when the PlayStation Network is back up and running these will be updated on their profile. Sony has also declared that the PlayStation Store is not returning today infact the service will be restored at the end of this month.
