Microsoft Bing search engine
Officially Microsoft search engine had released with the name, Bing on 28 May 2009. This engine is designed for replace live search. Over the previous search product, it is a solid improvement and in important areas it beats Google. In the search business it helps to Microsoft to gain share, it compete with Google. The Microsoft Bing search engine’s codename is Kumo.
Bing name is along with some features, in Microsoft’s quest, opens the latest chapter to best Google in the search engine wars. Bing has gained some market share successfully in its first few weeks.
Which Microsoft purchased in 2008 based on semantic technology from Powerset, that search lists in real time as queries are entered and a list of related searches on the left side of search results. Bing has the ability to share and save search histories like Windows Live Facebook, SkyDrive and email.
Bing would power Yahoo Search, in a deal announced by Microsoft and Yahoo, on 29July 2009.
There would be a brand issue in the name as long as the word "Live" remained, recognized by Microsoft. For Microsoft's search services, as an effort to create a new identity. On 3June 2009, Live Search was officially replaced by Bing. For more information see here.
